Medicare rebates are available at Melbourne CBD Physiotherapy & Sports Medicine for allied health services and specialist medical appointments. Whether you have been referred by your GP on a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan or are seeing our Sports & Exercise Physician, you may be entitled to a Medicare rebate — reducing your out-of-pocket costs.
Our clinic is registered with Medicare and processes rebates on the day via HICAPS, so you receive your rebate immediately at the time of payment.
Frequently Asked Questions
A Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan — previously called an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan — allows patients with a chronic medical condition to access Medicare rebates for allied health services. Your GP must prepare the plan and provide a referral before your allied health appointments begin.
Under a CDM plan you are eligible for up to 5 allied health sessions per calendar year. These sessions can be shared across different allied health providers.
Our clinic offers Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Dietitian (Dietetics) services under CDM plans — all with a Medicare rebate of $61.80 per session. Please contact our reception team for our current consultation fees and to calculate your out-of-pocket gap.
Accessing Medicare rebates at our clinic is straightforward. Here is what you need to know before your appointment to ensure you can claim on the day.
