Eliza is a highly skilled and motivated physiotherapist with a Doctor of Physiotherapy and a Bachelor of Health Sciences. As an avid recreational runner and gym enthusiast, she brings a deep understanding of sports and exercise to her practice. She specialises in the assessment and management of running-related injuries, including tendon, bone, and joint conditions, as well as chronic pain in the hips, pelvis, or knees. Eliza is deeply passionate about women’s health and empowering female athletes. She has expertise in managing conditions such as Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S) and bone stress injuries, guiding women to optimise their health and performance through a balanced, holistic, and well-informed approach. With extensive experience working alongside Athletics Australia at state and international levels, Eliza has deep knowledge in high-performance sports, strength and conditioning and athlete care. She also tutors postgraduate physiotherapy students at The University of Melbourne, sharing her expertise with the next generation of physiotherapists.
Eliza’s personal passion for running and strength training has led her to specialise clinically in the management of running-related injuries, bone stress injuries, and conditions affecting the lower limb tendons, bones, and joints. Her extensive experience, including working with Athletics Australia during the Oceania Athletics Area Championships in Suva, Fiji, and with various VAFA football clubs, has further deepened her understanding of high-performance sports and athlete care. This experience has exposed her to a diverse range of sports-related injuries.
Eliza is deeply passionate about women’s health and empowering female athletes to feel strong, confident, and capable—both in the gym and in their daily lives. She focuses on managing chronic pelvic pain conditions, such as pelvic floor dysfunction, endometriosis, and PCOS. Eliza has a thorough understanding of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S) and supports women in optimising their health through a balanced, informed, and comprehensive approach.
Eliza’s involvement in academia has led her to co-author a journal titled “The Prevalence of Urinary Incontinence in Nulliparous and Parous Non-Elite Adult Netball Players.” She also works as a tutor, educating postgraduate physiotherapy students at the University of Melbourne in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and health promotion.
In her practice, Eliza integrates strength training exercises with hands-on treatment to create tailored rehabilitation and performance programmes that foster lasting improvement. Drawing on her own experience as a former competitive dancer, she also specialises in injury prevention, particularly for dance-related injuries and for patients with hypermobility.
Eliza enjoys collaborating with clients to achieve their rehabilitation goals, blending strength with clinical expertise, clinical Pilates, and holistic health practices. She takes a comprehensive approach to health and well-being, fostering a strong connection between mind and body. Outside of her practice, Eliza is also passionate about exploring new coffee shops, experimenting with pottery, attending fitness classes, and cooking.
Eliza has completed a Doctor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Health Sciences from La Trobe University.
