Adductor Strain

An adductor strain is a common injury that is mainly seen in sports that have a relatively large cutting component (lateral movement), such as AFL football, soccer and hockey. A strain will commonly occur suddenly during change of direction, and give patients the feeling of a dull ache. This ache can transition with time into a feeling of being sharp. These symptoms are often palpable, and can be replicated on stretch or contraction.

Melbourne CBD Physiotherapists can assist in the management and diagnosis of these conditions. With our team having worked in elite sport whereby cutting actions and adductor strains are common, we will be able to provide you with an accurate diagnosis, and the best management strategies that are used to guide rehabilitation and return to play.
